A few days back, the bassist of my ex- band CMajor3Minor, who call themselves CYPHER now, has shared the link to the latest song KHUDI of THE LOCAL TRAIN, the winner of the first season of the Sennheiser Top 50. That was a song which kept buzzing on my head for quiet sometime and then one fine morning I got an e- mail from SENNHEISER to write a blogpost on the SEASON 3 TOP 50. Last year’s finalé was one riot of a live performance and this e- mail meant free pass to a great evening filled with alluring performances by some of the really good bands of the country and also catching up with many aspiring musicians and music enthusiasts.
After the harsh winter and the almost- nil spring, here in bangalore, layering in summer is the last thing you’d like to talk about. In fact, many of you might even nod your head in disbelief when I say layering can be done in summer too(Yes, kill me in this heat!).
While growing up I always dreamt of leading a lavish life with spacious bedrooms and luxe bathrooms. Recently, 27th of April, 2017, to be precise, when I was invited to the launch of KEHA CASA, a sprawling 8000 sq. ft. experience centre at Bengaluru’s prominent Kensington Road in Ulsoor, the same childhood memories and thoughts engulfed my head. The founders- Kekin Shah and Abdul Hameed Khan have set up an exclusively luxury area and I couldn’t help but gaze into it with an open mouth!
Time and again, I keep disappearing from the ‘SOCIAL MEDIA CIRCUS’. I am just back from a weekend getaway, some place distant from civilisation. Time and again, I keep stressing on the me- time factor. Days spent in the sun with eyes half closed, feeling the hot and humid air, sweating and soaking in the pool water, some conversations with the friends, some silent walks, gazes into the horizon, smiling at the stars, being local with the cuisine, late night gossips and waking up with swollen eyes and heavy heads!
A woman has many faces and many roles to play. Through this photo- series, I wanted to portray how QUIRKBOX has got it covered for the various roles of a woman. And it being a Spring- Summer collection, there goes flowers and coloured eye make up for the styling.
” Why I ride? It’s simple, happiness. Happiness means different things to different people and for me riding is happiness. When I ride, I feel a cocktail of emotions, happiness and freedom. When I ride, I feel free and for me, freedom is utmost important. “
” Travelling helps to know new places. But most importantly it changes you. For the good. You’renot the same person after you complete a trip. The undulating mountain peaks, the gush of fresh airthat fills your lungs, the pristine rivers and streams where you just dip your bottle to quench yourthirst, to the simple yet smiling villagers; everything makes an impact on you. “
” I ride to gather stories.
Stories that I can share with my family. My friends. My loved one.
Stories which will make us smile.
Stories which will give us hope.
Stories which will make us dream.
Stories which will be cherished throughout our lifetime. “
