It’s been sometime. Sometime since I took up my pen and the paper to figure out the sequence of a post. In fact, to plan a new one. Personal things can damage your work life you see. But certain personal things are unavoidable. They are like that puzzle which you have always been trying hard to solve but to no avail! Like that of the quagmire, which, no matter how hard you try to pull yourself out of it, you keep going inside it.
After the harsh winter and the almost- nil spring, here in bangalore, layering in summer is the last thing you’d like to talk about. In fact, many of you might even nod your head in disbelief when I say layering can be done in summer too(Yes, kill me in this heat!).
While growing up I always dreamt of leading a lavish life with spacious bedrooms and luxe bathrooms. Recently, 27th of April, 2017, to be precise, when I was invited to the launch of KEHA CASA, a sprawling 8000 sq. ft. experience centre at Bengaluru’s prominent Kensington Road in Ulsoor, the same childhood memories and thoughts engulfed my head. The founders- Kekin Shah and Abdul Hameed Khan have set up an exclusively luxury area and I couldn’t help but gaze into it with an open mouth!
Time and again, I keep disappearing from the ‘SOCIAL MEDIA CIRCUS’. I am just back from a weekend getaway, some place distant from civilisation. Time and again, I keep stressing on the me- time factor. Days spent in the sun with eyes half closed, feeling the hot and humid air, sweating and soaking in the pool water, some conversations with the friends, some silent walks, gazes into the horizon, smiling at the stars, being local with the cuisine, late night gossips and waking up with swollen eyes and heavy heads!
A woman has many faces and many roles to play. Through this photo- series, I wanted to portray how QUIRKBOX has got it covered for the various roles of a woman. And it being a Spring- Summer collection, there goes flowers and coloured eye make up for the styling.
People! So how has the week treated you so far? I watched a Bollywood movie called TRAPPED last night and boy, it was nice. It is starting to get too hot in Bangalore, don’t you feel? Today’s blog is about a few key essentials for summer and how to nail them. We have to admit that we are all big time suckers for some timeless summer pieces like that of a shirt dress or a crop shirt. They basically never go out of trend and you can style them in multiple permutations! The best part is that they can be worn in different weathers with a few layerings done.
Going by what I call ‘I And A Thing’ in my blog, which is meant for all the beautiful people around me having that passion in life( not necessarily passion for fashion), TVRadio brings you another Blogger Collaboration and this time it’s even bigger. As it’s the year end and everyone is delighted about the vacations and holidays, I cannot thank you enough for embracing me with so much love and support and for all your appreciation and admiration! Trust me, nothing compares when you say- “I love what you doing and you inspire me”. I cannot express my happiness upon receiving your appreciation e- mails and messages and how you find my “Let ART Begin” so inspiring and exciting! Starting this blog and continuing it means a lot to me and with every new blogpost, I promise to thrive for better.
The best part about working in an MNC, you know a nice one, they give you highly configured Macbooks!! Ha Ha!! I know I might sound stupid at times, but well, that’s me bro!! But unfortunately, my company didn’t give me one and I am happy with my own laptop. I have to be!
How have you been doing? Girbosses, eh? Now recently, Bewakoof.com , actually THE bewakoof.com contacted me for a collaboration and I couldn’t be happier. I can tell each one of us has atleast one thing from this brand- maybe a mobile cover, a pair of quirky shorts or a sweatshirt! Everyone? But while approaching me, they asked me to blog about a different apparel altogether and I chose to pick this pair of RAT- CHEESE PYJAMAS!! I am a little choosy on stuff, I know. But when I check something out, I try to visualize the idea and this is what I thought of when I checked out the official website of Bewakoof.com.
I hope you have had a look at my earlier post featuring 6 different bloggers. Also, hope that it helped you to curate one of the looks from the bloggers- ‘Be Your Own Goddess‘. Okay, now coming to this one, so, tell me what time of the year is this? Isn’t it the time of lights and crackers- YES, Diwali time it is! I really miss home and my family during such celebrations and time of festivity. Since 3 years I could not go home during Diwali or Durga Puja(Dussehra) due to some or the other reason. As I write this blogpost, tears tend to roll down my eyes. I feel, the time when I was there with my family all these years, I didn’t value those moments much or maybe I didn’t respect such festivals much. I hardly used to go out and I was a very introvert person. Things haven’t changed much though, I still don’t go out much or celebrate all the festivals with zeal and high spirits. But I really crave to be with my family at the time of festivities. The look at my mom’s new Mekhela Chadar(Assamese traditional wear), my dad’s lame jokes(which he cracks almost all the time) and my brother’s firecrackers!
