As I sit down to write a few lines for this project, I realize how blank my mind is. I have been missing the sunset for two days continuously, something that I always look up to in a day. Something which always lifts up my spoilt mood. Also, it’s been ages that I blogged anything. But upon seeing the pictures, it also reminds me of what a pleasant trip it was. If I have to describe my first impressions about Bangkok, I have to start with the colorful taxies. Then those streetfood joints at every nook and corner. The magnificent golden gompas and the clean wide streets!
All this while I was cribbing for not having enough pictures of myself. No, I really was! But the beauty of the place that I captured in my phone, the memories treasured in them, will they ever have a replacement? I doubt. This is the second trip that I have documented here on the blog and just like the first one, this trip has taught me a great deal of self-confidence. It is also a trip which taught me to have patience and also trust others. Life isn’t that complicated. After all, every living being just wants to earn his bread and butter and make some peace. It was also the first time that I have shared the room with some strangers. The idea of backpacking to an alien city like that of Bangkok and living in a dormitory or a hostel has always intrigued me. I mean, it sounds adventurous to me. Not that I can afford 5 STARs anyway but for me, it is more fun when there is a little bit of mystery and risk involved.
Streets have always inspired me and I love to document the beauty hidden in the hassle of the streets. Bangkok was a wonderful experience. Cheers to more travel this year and less consumerism, maybe!
